Wine Wednesday

Well hello!  Thanks for stopping back by.  I said in yesterday’s post that trying to come up with a theme for each day seemed daunting.  Well then guess who had a flash of genius and came up with a theme for each day?  ME.  Who knows though, but without a doubt, Wednesdays MUST be Wine Wednesday, where I’ll share about something delicious I’m currently guzzling loving.

I know a lot of people use the term Wine Wednesday, but I’d like to think that my friends Jaime, Jen and I coined the phrase back in 2001 when we’d get together every Wednesday night at Jaime’s apartment, drink cheap wine and watch the Bachelor.  Those were the days!

So without further adieu, here are my thoughts this first Wine Wednesday.  Over the past year and a half, I’ve admittedly become a huge wine snob.  Aside from the hit my bank account has taken, I don’t really see this as a bad thing. There are SO many delicious wines out there, and if you know what you’re looking for, not all of them are brutally priced.

Christmas 2016, my friend Sarah was gifted a vintage bottle of Dom Perignon and kindly saved it to share with Stacy and me.  Talk about game changing!  It was BOMB.  And it was fun, so we decided to make it a tradition.  Christmas 2017 was my turn to pick up a fancy bottle and we got together again to drink it up.  Want to know where I epically failed? I forgot to write down what kind I bought.  It was great though!

So today, I wanted to share my favorite non-overly priced bubbles.  I am currently obsessed with Louis Roederer.  It is seriously so good!  The bubbles are tiny and smooth. And, you can always find it on sale somewhere for under $40.  Last time I did, I scooped up 5 bottles!

Cheers to being halfway through the week!  Come back tomorrow for what I have up my sleeve for Thursday!
