Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Everyone!  Another week come and gone.  Who’s ready for the weekend?  I am!  Some time with friends, a hair appointment, amazing weather on the forecast, and the SUPER BOWL!  I’m pumped.

Yesterday after I posted my blog, I reread it.  I said that I planned to make the most of the last 22 days of my 30’s.  So, I started it off with some champagne and oysters at my favorite local restaurant, Our House, and followed it up with my favorite rib eye, to-go, and ate it at home in my pjs.  It was glorious!  Stay tuned for other fun as I kiss 39 goodbye!

For this Friday Favorites, I thought I’d share some of my favorite snacks.  I’m not a big snacker, but anyone who says they NEVER snack is lying.  Sometimes a girl just needs a snack!olives

To say I love these kalamata olives is an understatement.  I LOVE THEM!!  They are so good and no joke, I probably eat a tub a week.  They’re even better if you take a bite of a walnut with one.  Try it!

If you’ve known me since college, you know that I have had a thing for peanut butter FOR-EV-ER.  I used to eat it like it was going out of style.  A spoon and a tub of PB?  You’ve won my heart.  I can’t eat PB the way I used to, and have developed a sensitivity to almonds as of late (SO WEIRD).  That said, my beloved Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter has taken a backseat, because it has almonds in it!  So, I was stoked to find this one by Nutiva at Whole Foods the other day.  It’s dangerous.  I’m also a huge lover of Trader Joe’s Sunbutter.  As one of my friends said, “It’s like eating sunflower seeds, but without all the work!”  Indeed.

Another one of my obsessions is chips.  I had a conversation with a friend a few months ago and we ranked our top 5 chips.  Mine were:  Salt & Vinegar Kettle Chips, Tortilla, Sour Cream & Onion, Cheddar, BBQ.  BBQ was last only because it had to be on the list.  I don’t really care for BBQ chips.  I found these chips at Nugget the other day from The Daily Crave and they’re so good!!  They kind of remind me of Bugles, remember those?  There is nothing that tastes lentil-y about them.  I’m now a big fan.

And finally, I’ve replaced my beloved standard tortilla chips with these.  Siete Foods seriously knocked it out of the park with these and I could not be happier. I dusted the bag in 2 days!  Try them, they’re crunchy and salty and I guarantee no one will know the difference.  I’ll share my guacamole recipe next week that pairs with them perfectly.

That’s all for today, folks!  Have a great weekend and GO EAGLES!
