Wine Wednesday

Well here we are again.  Is time just seriously flying?  This is one of the reasons that I’m enjoying blogging because now I have a record of what I’ve been up to.  Also, I have been trying so hard to use my One Line a Day Journal.  I forgot for about 10 days.  UGH.  I filled it in this morning and on 2 of the days I couldn’t really recall.  Guess they were just normal days!

Anyway, as I mentioned yesterday, I got a TON of wine from my girls.  So, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites that they gifted me. As for the ones I haven’t tried, I’ll share those as I drink through them.  Deal?

Let’s start with bubbles.  It’s become no secret among my crew that I’ve become a big fan of Champagne.  Particularly French Champagne, but I’m not one to discriminate.  California makes some great sparkling wines!BlancDeNoirs_1024x1024

Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs.  This is one of my favorites.  To say I am excited to drink this is an understatement!  There’s just something about the body of a champagne made with Pinot Noir grapes.  YUM!

nicolas

Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve.  The first time I bought this, I bought it because I liked the decorative bottle and it was pricey enough that I assumed it had to be above average.  I was correct!  It’s 100 times more than above average and very delicious.  This will be a nice treat, indeed.

chandon

Chandon California Brut.  You can never go wrong with Chandon!  How about that rhyme?  On its own or with a splash of OJ, this is always a breakfast beverage favorite.  Or an any time of day favorite.

rombauer

And last but certainly not least, I was gifted with not one, but TWO bottles of Rombauer.  My girls for sure know that I love to #chardsohard!  If you love a big, buttery, chard, you already have Rombauer in heavy rotation.  If you haven’t had it, you’re missing out!  Once this weather warms up, I will be drinking this on my balcony without a doubt.

So that’s it for today!  Of the TEN bottles I was gifted, I’ve only had the ones above.  I definitely have my work cut out for me, but also now have built-in content for Wine Wednesdays for the foreseeable future.

I hope everyone is having a great week!  Come back tomorrow for my birthday music mix CD and more random Thursday ramblings.

Cheers!
